About your teacher!
About Mrs. ActonHello!
I am so incredibly excited to be your child's teacher this year. This is my eighth year here at Oster! This is my fifth year in second grade. Previously, I taught fourth grade for three years. If you have been at Oster for a while, you may have recognized me by a different name, Miss Young. I married my husband, Jack, last September and changed my name for this school year. You may notice some things may still refer to me as Miss Young(log ins, emails, etc) Name changes take a little time, so I apologize for the inconvenience. I grew up in a small town in Northern California with my parents and my older brother. When I graduated high school I moved to Chico to attend CSU Chico. There, I was involved in many clubs and community events. It is also where I met my husband. After graduation, we decided to move to San Jose. When I am not working on lesson plans or collaborating with colleagues, you can find me by the beach reading a good book, exercising, or hanging out with Mickey Mouse! I love to travel and go on new adventures especially with our two miniature poodles, Zoe and Tina! Sincerely, Mrs. Acton |
